Urban Service Area Expansion: It’s worth another look.
There are 1,377 acres of vacant land within the Versailles Urban Service Boundary.
Without the benefit of a full comp plan review prior to expansion of the Urban Service Area, taxpayers are denied community-wide input on future development. The cost burden for the public services that go along with new development will be carried by taxpayers for decades. Woodford Forward strongly opposes this proposed annexation, rezoning, and expansion of the Urban Service Boundary at this time, but strongly supports the 70+/- acres of Edgewood Farms, LLC, that is currently within the existing Urban Service Boundary. Do we have adequate public services for the entire Urban Service Boundary and a fully developed Edgewood property?
